Akshay Kumar is Badshah, an orphan raised by gangster Sultan (Shakti Kapoor) and pushed into a life of crime, always under the eye of Inspector Pradhan (Ashish Vidyarthi). After a killing forces him to run, he takes in a lost child, reinvents himself as the blacksmith Babu Lohar, and tries to build a quieter life. Karisma Kapoor's Sapna becomes part of that new world, but old allies, old enemies, and the child's biological family pull Badshah back toward the past he thought he had left behind.
