CrimeDramaMysteryThriller112 min

When a blurred note is found in a bottle after years at sea, Denmark’s Department Q traces the message to a case from 2008. Nikolaj Lie Kaas is detective Carl Mørck, working the cold case alongside Fares Fares’s Assad as they decipher a trail of disappearances tied to a religious community. What begins as an old, nearly forgotten plea turns into an investigation with present-day stakes, as new tragic events unfold while the two detectives try to identify who sent the note and who was meant to find it. The case pulls Department Q through sealed-off lives, buried crimes, and a mystery shaped by faith and secrecy.
