Island of Lemurs: Madagascar
ActionAdventureDocumentaryFamily39 min
Morgan Freeman narrates a trip to Madagascar, where scientist Patricia Wright has spent years studying lemurs and trying to protect them as they become increasingly endangered. Filmed with IMAX 3D cameras, the documentary moves through the island’s forests to observe the many forms these primates have taken in isolation, from tiny wide-eyed species to agile tree-leapers. Alongside close-up wildlife footage, the film follows Wright’s conservation work and frames lemurs as survivors of an ancient migration now facing modern pressures.
