After Life

ComedyDrama28 min per episode

Ricky Gervais is Tony Johnson, a newspaper writer whose life collapses after the sudden death of his wife, Lisa. Instead of following through on suicidal thoughts, Tony decides to stay alive and use his grief as a license to say whatever he wants, no matter who it hurts. What follows is his daily collision with coworkers, family, strangers, and the few people still trying to help him. Tom Basden and Ashley Jensen are part of the circle Tony keeps pushing away as his bitterness, loneliness, and fixation on Lisa’s memory turn ordinary encounters into something raw, awkward, and unexpectedly tender.
