The Assassination of Richard Nixon

CrimeDramaThriller95 min

In 1974, Sam Bicke is a failing salesman whose marriage, job, and finances have all collapsed, and he begins fixing his anger on Richard Nixon. Sean Penn is Sam, a man so rigid about honesty and success that he keeps driving away the people still trying to help him. Naomi Watts's Marie has already started pulling away, as Sam's private frustrations turn into resentment toward the country around him. Drawing on the true story of a would-be presidential assassin, the film follows his slide from domestic and financial ruin into a plot against the president.
