Bruce Lee’s life and legend are traced through the people who knew him and worked beside him, as the film follows his rise from Hong Kong child performer to martial arts star and screen icon. Interviews with students, friends, actors, and collaborators piece together how his training, discipline, and ideas about combat shaped both his career and the image the world came to know. The documentary also turns to the “curse” in its title, looking at the stories and losses that gathered around Lee after his death and helped turn a young actor into a lasting myth. Directed by Tom Kuhn and Fred Weintraub, it builds its portrait from firsthand recollection.
