Nete, a 37-year-old woman who keeps her job, husband, and teenage daughter under firm control, throws her family into upheaval when she insists her gravely ill father come live with them for what should be his last weeks. Paprika Steen is Nete, organized to the point of force, while her father (Ole Ernst) arrives bitter and withdrawn. Then the timetable starts to slip: weeks pass, his appetite returns, and the prognosis begins to change. What began as a tightly managed farewell turns into a crowded, awkward standoff inside one Danish household, with Nete still trying to keep everyone, and everything, in line.
