The Judge

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller141 min

Big-city lawyer Hank Palmer returns to small-town Indiana for his mother’s funeral and is forced back into the family he left behind when his father, the local judge, becomes a murder suspect. Robert Downey Jr. is Hank, arriving with a polished courtroom manner and a long history of resentment, opposite Robert Duvall’s stubborn judge, a man whose authority on the bench doesn’t soften what waits at home. As Hank stays to sort through the case, the murder investigation runs alongside years of friction between father and son, turning a homecoming into both a legal fight and a family confrontation.
