12 Angry Men
CrimeDrama117 min
After a young man is tried for murdering his father, eleven jurors are ready to convict until one dissenter refuses to accept a quick guilty verdict. Jack Lemmon is the lone holdout, forcing the room to go back through the evidence and confront the assumptions driving the vote. George C. Scott and Courtney B. Vance are among the men on the other side of the table as the deliberation shifts, fractures, and tightens around the question of reasonable doubt. Directed by William Friedkin, the film stays close to the jury room, where the case turns into an argument about bias, pressure, and responsibility.
