In 2025, Nevada border officers Dave Quarry and John spend their off-duty hours sharpening their kickboxing skills inside a virtual-reality combat program while, elsewhere, a computer tycoon readies a new invention. Don Wilson is Dave Quarry, with Michael Bernardo's John beside him as the company's project pushes beyond simulation, combining DNA and virtual reality to create beings and creatures that look and feel real. What begins as routine sparring sits alongside a corporate experiment aimed at turning digital combat into something you can touch.
