My Friend Irma Goes West
ComedyCrimeMusical91 min
Dean Martin is singer Steve, heading west on a California-bound train with Seymour (Jerry Lewis), his fiancée Jane, and Jane’s dizzy roommate Irma. What starts as a simple trip turns into a run of mix-ups and missed connections that carries the group to Las Vegas, where they cross paths with a gang of murderous criminals. Marie Wilson’s Irma keeps the confusion spinning as the story moves from train-car mishaps to nightclub detours, with Martin and Lewis at the center of the film’s songs, misunderstandings, and fast-moving comic chaos.
