The story

A First Nations woman raised by a Jewish family begins searching for the relatives and community she was taken from during the Sixties Scoop. As she traces the story of her adoption, the search forces her to confront missing records, buried choices, and the damage done by a system that severed children from their families. The series moves between her present-day investigation and the past that shaped it, following both the birth family that lost her and the life she was given elsewhere. In Darla Contois’s central performance, each discovery brings her closer to home while opening fresh wounds about identity, memory, and belonging.
