Reef Hawk has been Hollywood’s poster child since age six, and when a mysterious video becomes the center of an extortion threat, his carefully managed image starts to crack. Keanu Reeves is Reef, a famous actor who launches a public redemption tour, trying to make amends before the footage can upend his career. Cameron Diaz’s Kyle and Matt Bomer’s Xander, Reef’s longtime friends, stay in the orbit as his crisis lawyer Ira (Jonah Hill) tries to contain the fallout. As Reef retraces old relationships and past damage, the hunt for the blackmailer forces him back through the parts of his life he’s kept buried.
