Three from Prostokvashino

17 min

Little Fedor brings home a cat his mother refuses to keep, then leaves with the talkative Matroskin to make a life of his own. Their path leads to the country village of Prostokvashino, where a dog named Sharik joins them and the three begin piecing together an improvised home. The 1978 Soviet animated film follows its small household through friendship, rural routines, and the comic complications that come with a very serious child, a talking cat, and the freedom of being away from home.
