When a KGB plot throws Britain into a state of emergency, young MI6 spy Charles is told to reopen a long-dormant connection with a Russian diplomat who may know more than he is saying. Andrew Scott is Charles, moving through 1970s London as official pressure and Cold War mistrust close in around him. Charlie Cox’s Viktor enters the picture as both an old friend and a possible threat, turning a personal history into a dangerous line of contact between British intelligence and an attack taking shape.
