Now working for the Anti-Villain League, Gru has to stop Balthazar Bratt, a former ’80s child star who’s turned his old persona into a plan for world domination. Steve Carell returns as Gru, with Kristen Wiig’s Lucy beside him as both partner and wife while Margo, Edith, and Agnes keep the family side of life busy. The story also brings in Dru, Gru’s long-lost twin brother, adding another layer to the chaos. Trey Parker voices Bratt as a villain built around synth-pop, shoulder pads, and a grudge over the TV character that made him famous.
