With Jigsaw dead, Detective Mark Hoffman is hailed as a hero while FBI Agent Peter Strahm starts pulling at details that don’t add up. Costas Mandylor’s Hoffman finds his past under scrutiny as Strahm (Scott Patterson) digs into the murders and the possibility that Jigsaw’s work didn’t end with him. At the same time, another group of strangers is locked inside one of the killer’s elaborate setups, facing a new sequence of brutal tests. Tobin Bell still looms over the story as Jigsaw, with the film moving between the investigation, the cover-up, and the mechanics of the next game.
