Ernest Scared Stupid
ComedyFamilyFantasyHorror91 min
On Halloween night in Briarville, Missouri, well-meaning bumbler Ernest P. Worrell accidentally unleashes an ancient troll and winds up in the middle of the town’s attempt to stop it. Jim Varney is Ernest, a man whose confidence always outruns his judgment, as the creature’s curse begins spreading through the neighborhood. With kids drawn into the fight and Eartha Kitt among the town’s memorable faces, the movie mixes monster-movie stakes with broad slapstick, turning front porches, tree-lined streets, and local legends into the backdrop for Ernest’s latest disaster.
