30 Days of Night

HorrorThriller113 min

When an isolated Alaskan town enters its annual month without sunlight, the darkness brings more than winter: a pack of vampires descends on the streets and starts hunting the people trapped there. Josh Hartnett and Melissa George are the husband-and-wife sheriff team trying to hold the remaining survivors together as the town is cut off by cold, fear, and constant night. The setup turns the long polar blackout into the film’s central threat, with empty snowbound roads, boarded-up buildings, and brief flashes of violence as the townspeople search for somewhere the creatures can’t reach.
