Sunshine Cleaning

ComedyDrama102 min

Struggling to support her young son and stuck on the edges of everyone else’s stable life, Rose takes an unusual job cleaning up crime scenes. What starts as a desperate way to make money turns into a small business, and she pulls in her younger sister Norah to help. Together they scrub bloodstains from strangers’ homes, learn the awkward rules of a job nobody wants, and try to keep their own family mess from spilling over. As the work grows, so do old wounds, money problems, and the strain between the sisters. Amy Adams and Emily Blunt play women trying to build something useful out of grief, embarrassment, and hard, unsentimental work.
