After five years in cryogenic sleep, Mizuhara Reito wakes to a world transformed by the Man-Killer Virus, a plague that wiped out nearly all men. Governments and researchers treat the few survivors as vital resources, surrounding Reito with luxury and pressure as part of a plan to repopulate society. He is expected to father children with countless women while the entire social order bends around that demand. Reito wants something else: to find Erisa Tachibana, the girl he loved before he went under, who disappeared while he was asleep. As he searches for her, the rules of this female-dominated world grow stranger, and questions about the virus and those in power start to close in.
