Two rival ninja clans, the Iga and the Kouga, are ordered into a deadly struggle just as peace seems possible through the bond between their heirs. Gennosuke of Kouga and Oboro of Iga are in love, but that tie becomes a liability when old hostilities are reignited and each side is forced to choose fighters. What begins as a romance between enemies turns into a contest shaped by clan duty, political pressure, and supernatural martial skill. As the body count threatens to rise, Gennosuke and Oboro are pulled between loyalty to their people and the hope that their love might stop a war neither of them truly wants.
