The Tricky Master

ActionAdventureComedyCrime82 min

Undercover cop Leung Foon is struggling to bring down a Hong Kong illegal trading operation run by crime boss Ferrari, so he seeks help from a notorious gambling hustler. Nick Cheung is Foon, whose case takes a turn when he teams up with Stephen Chow’s Master Wong, a specialist in card-table scams and confidence tricks. As the investigation gets tangled with Wong’s schemes, the story shifts between police business, swindles, and comic mix-ups, with Sandra Ng and Kelly Lin among the faces circling the operation. The setup leans into late-’90s Hong Kong crime-comedy energy, with gambling cons at the center.
