Connor MacLeod survives a wound that should kill him in the Scottish Highlands of 1536 and learns he is one of a hidden group of immortals, fated to battle one another until only one remains. Christopher Lambert is MacLeod, moving from clan exile and years of sword training to the streets of 1986 New York, where that centuries-long conflict closes in. The film jumps between medieval Scotland and modern Manhattan, mixing supernatural myth with sword duels and a secret-war premise. Sean Connery, Roxanne Hart, and Clancy Brown round out the cast around MacLeod’s final confrontation.
