Don Juan, or If Don Juan Were a Woman
Drama95 min
A wealthy, self-possessed woman moves through Paris treating seduction as a game she controls, taking lovers, discarding them, and refusing the roles men expect her to play. As she circles through affairs, each encounter becomes a test of power, vanity, and desire rather than romance. Her freedom unsettles the people around her, especially the men who assume they are the hunters until they find themselves manipulated, humiliated, or exposed. Brigitte Bardot anchors this gender-reversed Don Juan story as the film turns bedroom conquest into social provocation, using her character’s affairs to press on double standards about sex, control, and who gets judged for wanting both.
