Renfield

ActionAdventureComedyFantasyHorrorThriller93 min

After centuries of finding victims and handling every filthy errand for Dracula, Renfield decides he wants a life outside his master’s shadow. Nicholas Hoult is the exhausted familiar, still bound to Nicolas Cage’s swaggering, bloodthirsty Count even as he tries to change. An unexpected connection with traffic cop Rebecca Quincy pushes him toward something like redemption, but separating from Dracula proves messy fast. The film treats the servant-and-master bond like a toxic relationship, folding vampire lore, police trouble, and bursts of gore into a modern monster story.
