Pardon Us

Comedy56 min

During Prohibition, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are small-time home brewers who land behind bars after Stan sells one of their beers to a policeman. Inside prison, Laurel’s fretful innocence and Hardy’s wounded dignity turn ordinary routines into one disaster after another, from cellblock mishaps and bunk-bed trouble to run-ins with tougher inmates and the guards. As the pair bungle their way through prison life, the story widens into riotous yard scenes, contraband headaches, and escape attempts that only make their situation worse. June Marlowe appears alongside the duo in this early Laurel and Hardy feature built around bootlegging trouble and prison farce.
