Everybody Hates Chris

ComedyDrama22 min per episode

Chris is the oldest of three kids in early-1980s Brooklyn, trying to survive junior high after his strict parents move the family and send him to a predominantly white middle school two hours away. Tyler James Williams is Chris, caught between racist classmates, neighborhood hassles, and the job of keeping his younger siblings in line at home. Chris Rock narrates the stories as memories from his own adolescence, grounding the comedy in school-day humiliations, family rules, and the everyday rhythms of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
