Young friends Tod, a fox kit, and Copper, a hound puppy, head to a country fair and discover The Singin' Strays, a band of performing dogs with a talent scout in the audience. When Copper gets drawn into the group, the bond between the two friends starts to strain as rehearsals, stage plans, and the promise of a spotlight pull him in a new direction. Reba McEntire and Patrick Swayze join the voice cast, with Jonah Bobo's Tod and Harrison Fahn's Copper at the center of the story. The fairground setting and musical numbers keep the focus on friendship, loyalty, and a brush with country showmanship.
