Fate of Alakada

The story

In Lagos, social media influencer Yetunde keeps up a polished fiction about being a success story until a gate-crashed movie premiere gives her a bigger lie to run with: she claims she’s an event planner. Toyin Abraham leads the scramble, with Broda Shaggi in the ensemble, as Yetunde tries to turn that bluff into a lavish party for Swanky Jerry and his partner Stephanie. What follows is a chain of improvised deals, borrowed celebrity access, and near-misses, with the film taking aim at online fakery and the status games of Nigerian pop culture.
