High school senior Brandon is already drowning in responsibilities when an armed robbery scrambles his life in the strangest possible way: he can’t stop thinking about the girl who stuck him up. Algee Smith is Brandon, trying to keep his footing through the last stretch of high school while chasing a connection that makes no sense on paper. Sierra Capri is the girl at the center of it, turning one violent encounter into something complicated and romantic. Set in Compton, the film stays close to teenage pressure, sudden attraction, and the consequences that follow both.
