Strange Days

CrimeDramaSci-FiThriller145 min

In the last days of 1999, ex-cop turned street hustler Lenny Nero is making money in Los Angeles by selling black-market recordings that let buyers experience other people’s memories and physical sensations. Ralph Fiennes is Lenny, a slick operator whose newest disc appears to contain the murder of a prostitute. As he tries to trace where it came from, he leans on Angela Bassett’s Mace, a bodyguard and limo driver with far steadier instincts than his own. Their search moves through a city on edge, where police violence, blackmail, and Lenny’s ties to nightclub singer Faith (Juliette Lewis) keep pulling him deeper into the case.
