High School Musical
ComedyDramaFamilyMusicalRomance98 min
East High basketball star Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, a newly arrived honor student, seem to belong to different worlds until auditions for the school musical put them side by side. Zac Efron is Troy, whose choice to sing throws off expectations from teammates and classmates alike, while Vanessa Hudgens gives Gabriella a calm confidence that stands out in a hallway ruled by cliques. As the two go for the lead roles, rehearsals, school rivalries, and social pressure turn a simple audition into a challenge to East High’s pecking order.
