The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez
ComedyCrime90 min
Transferred to fashionable Saint-Tropez, ambitious gendarme Ludovic Cruchot tries to impose order on a beach town where nude swimmers keep testing his authority and his home life is no simpler. Louis de Funès is the officious Cruchot, forever chasing protocol, while Geneviève Grad is his teenage daughter, whose attempts to impress wealthy new friends with stories of a millionaire father and a yacht in the harbor leave him scrambling off duty as well. Against the French Riviera backdrop, police business and family farce keep colliding.
