The Brutalist
Drama216 min
After fleeing postwar Europe, Adrien Brody is László Toth, a Jewish-Hungarian architect trying to rebuild his life and career in Pennsylvania. Separated from his wife by war and shifting borders, he starts over in the United States while waiting for Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) to join him. His work draws the attention of Guy Pearce’s Harrison Lee Van Buren, a wealthy industrialist whose patronage offers László a way back into building on a grand scale. As his ambitions begin to take shape in America, that opportunity becomes entangled with the demands of money, status, and a powerful benefactor.
