Resurrecting the Champ

Drama112 min

An up-and-coming sports reporter rescues a homeless man and becomes convinced he’s found a boxing legend long believed dead. Josh Hartnett is the ambitious writer, chasing a story that could pull him out of his father’s shadow, while Samuel L. Jackson’s “Champ” is both a man on the street and a figure from boxing history. What begins as a career-making profile turns into a messier collision of ambition, celebrity, and family, as the reporter’s pursuit of Champ’s past forces him to look harder at his own life.
