The Secret Garden

DramaFamilyFantasy102 min

After an earthquake kills her parents in India, young Mary is sent to her uncle’s vast English manor, where she’s largely left to wander its corridors and grounds alone. Kate Maberly is Mary, a prickly orphan whose curiosity leads her to a locked, neglected garden hidden on the estate. As she begins restoring it with Dickon (Andrew Knott), the servant’s boy who knows the land better than anyone, Mary’s attention turns to the house itself — an absent uncle, a grieving household, and a sickly cousin kept out of sight. The story moves between shadowy rooms and a growing patch of green just beyond them.
