Maigret Sets a Trap
CrimeDramaThriller87 min
In mid-1950s Paris, Chief Inspector Jules Maigret faces a serial killer who stalks women in Montmartre and vanishes before the police can close in. With the neighborhood on edge and the press circling, he sets a public trap, hoping to draw the murderer out by flooding the streets with officers and baiting him into another move. When the plan misfires and suspicion falls on the wrong man, Maigret has to sift panic, false leads, and mounting political pressure to find a pattern before the killer strikes again. Rowan Atkinson plays the detective as a patient investigator working through a city that is frightened, impatient, and running out of time.
