Barbarians
Drama48 min per episode
In 9 A.D., as Rome tightens its occupation of Germania, three intertwined lives are pulled toward the uprising that leads to the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. Laurence Rupp is at the center of the conflict, with Jeanne Goursaud drawn into the same struggle as tribal loyalties, Roman rule, and personal bonds begin to split apart. The story tracks Germanic warriors and Roman legions on a collision course, grounding the larger historical clash in shifting alliances, local rivalries, and the pressure of empire across forests, encampments, and contested tribal lands.
