James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome
Comedy81 min
James Acaster turns the usual stand-up contract inside out by inviting the crowd to interrupt him, using heckles, detours, and broken rhythms as part of the act. Acaster mixes sharp observations with on-the-fly analysis of his own jokes, letting the set become a running argument about what stand-up is and why he keeps doing it. Alongside the audience back-and-forth, he folds in stories from childhood and the early impulses that pushed him toward comedy, with the performance constantly shifting between prepared material and whatever the room throws back.
