¡Three Amigos!
ActionAdventureComedyDramaWestern104 min
In 1916, three unemployed silent film actors head to a small Mexican village expecting a paid appearance and discover they’ve been mistaken for actual heroes. Steve Martin is Lucky Day, the smooth-talking leader of the trio, with Chevy Chase’s Dusty Bottoms and Martin Short’s Ned Nederlander following him into a very real clash with the bandit El Guapo. As Santa Poco looks to them for rescue, the film mines the gap between movie-made bravado and the danger waiting outside the set, folding in Western send-ups, broad slapstick, and musical detours along the way.
