Jason Patric is narcotics sergeant Nick Tellis, pulled back onto Detroit’s force after a traumatic undercover operation to investigate the murder of a fellow cop. He’s paired with Ray Liotta’s Henry Oak, the dead officer’s former partner, a hard-charging detective whose methods and temper make the case even messier. Working through back alleys, drug contacts, and department politics, Tellis finds an investigation shadowed by police brutality, damaged loyalties, and mounting doubts about what happened to undercover operative Michael Calvess. As the two men push forward, the case starts turning on the conduct of the officers pursuing it.
