After escaping a Kolkata prison, Kathiresan arrives in Chennai and finds his exact double, Jeevanandham, fighting for his life after a shooting. Joseph Vijay takes both roles as the small-time criminal seizes the chance to assume another man’s identity and collect a payout, only to learn that Jeeva is connected to a farmers’ battle with a powerful corporation. What starts as a con pulls Kathir into a widening conflict over land, water, and money, with Neil Nitin Mukesh on the corporate side and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Kathir’s orbit as the impersonation grows harder to contain.
