Corpse Bride

AnimationComedyDramaFamilyFantasyMusicalRomance77 min

On the eve of an arranged marriage in a 19th-century European village, Johnny Depp is Victor, a young groom-to-be who accidentally places a wedding ring on the hand of a dead woman and is swept into the underworld as her husband. Helena Bonham Carter voices Emily, the mysterious corpse bride, while Victor’s intended waits in the land of the living. Directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson, the film uses stop-motion animation to split its world between drab drawing rooms upstairs and a lively realm of skeletons, candles, and song below.
