Podcaster Wallace Bryton vanishes in the backwoods of Manitoba after heading north to interview the reclusive Howard Howe (Michael Parks), an aging seafarer with a strange attachment to walruses. As Wallace drops off the map, his best friend and podcast co-host Teddy, with Haley Joel Osment as the increasingly frantic searcher, teams up with Wallace’s girlfriend Allison (Genesis Rodriguez) and a former detective to track him down. Justin Long is Wallace, whose disappearance hangs over a story that shifts from missing-person mystery into Kevin Smith’s black-comic body horror.
