Twilight Zone: The Movie

FantasyHorrorSci-FiThriller102 min

Four standalone stories carry The Twilight Zone into a 1983 anthology film, with one original tale, “Time Out,” alongside new versions of “Kick the Can,” “It’s a Good Life,” and “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.” Directed by John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante, and George Miller, the movie moves between cruel irony, eerie fantasy, and mounting panic while keeping close to Rod Serling’s world of uncanny twists. John Lithgow is the fraying airline passenger in the final segment, and Scatman Crothers appears in “Kick the Can,” with familiar faces from the original series, including Burgess Meredith and Bill Mumy, turning up along the way.
