The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium

Comedy67 min

Onstage at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Dave Chappelle works through a stand-up set built around the strange logic of public life, fame, race, and politics. He starts from everyday observations and recent headlines, then keeps pushing each story until it exposes the gap between how people present themselves and how they actually behave. The material moves between celebrity culture and larger social tensions, with Chappelle turning personal anecdotes into setups for sharper, more confrontational riffs. Filmed in March 2016, the special centers on his voice, timing, and the way one subject opens into the next as the set gathers momentum.
