Centered on Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, Danny Boyle’s series follows how a band of noisy, working-class British kids with “no future” crashed into the establishment and turned punk into a national uproar. Toby Wallace is Jones, the guide through the group’s rise to notoriety, while Anson Boon is part of the band’s volatile core as music, provocation, and chaos start feeding each other. Sydney Chandler and Maisie Williams move through the scene around them as the story tracks the years when the Sex Pistols pushed from outsider noise into a cultural flashpoint.
