Sembi

Drama140 min

Ten-year-old Sembi lives a quiet life in the Kodaikanal hills with her grandmother Veerayi, an apiarist, until three influential men upend everything and force them to run. Kovai Sarala is Veerayi, trying to shield her granddaughter as the pair board an Anbu bus after a tragedy. Their flight soon becomes a push for justice, with passengers from very different backgrounds deciding how far they’re willing to get involved. Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan and Thambi Ramaiah are among the people they meet along the way, as the film moves from the stillness of the hills to the crowded, uncertain road ahead.
