Alice is a sheltered Catholic high schooler in the early 2000s whose curiosity about sex spikes after an AOL chat turns explicit. Natalia Dyer is Alice, caught between private desire and the rules of her church school as she tries to make sense of guilt, confession, and what counts as sin. The film stays close to the awkward details of teen life—retreats, gossip, internet secrecy, and whispered conversations with friends—while Timothy Simons and Francesca Reale fill out the world around her school, faith, and social circle.
